Fortyeight and Needmorelegroom, I see a lot of people say that on the threads here. I commuted before DAL to STL for almost two years. While it wasn't ideal it wasn't a deal breaker for me. At times stressful, but okay, I guess.
The reason I like republic is cause of the one fleet. If I go to envoy or skywest my fear is that I will have to upgrade into a new model plane with no experience in it and I'm not too comfortable with that.
Also I like the trips better on the 175 side of things. Less legs on avg. I have zero interest in doing 5-6 legs a day. Also I enjoy decent overnights at decent places (not EAS locations).
For the right company I will commute. Republic having bases in DCA and BOS is huge only because I have family there. Overall the pilot group loves it there. I fly with ex skywest and have a handful of envoy guys I keep in touch with and I don't think I will like the work environment there.
