Is a 2 hour train ride from LI to EWR sustainable? Does anyone have experience with that commute? What about circumnavigating the city by auto? Or should I forego that adventure and fly DAL mostly out of LGA and JFK? I like both companies. I am mostly concerned with QOL (ironic, I know, moving to NY, but once again, it's for the family). From what I can gather as of now (prior to classing up), it seems like seniority prospects for me are better over the next 30 years at UAL. Thanks!
Your overall seniority might be better at UAL but that is largely negated by being NYC based since it is far and away the most junior base at DL. Within two years you could probably be top 20% on the A220 or 717, top 50% on the 737 or 320, or hold 764 (the most junior WB category at DL right now).
