Currently working as a CRJ-200/900 captain at a regional in Canada. About 3500TT with 300 CRJ PIC and 1500 PIC on a dash 8-100/300/Q400. Working on converting my licenses and wondering how to make the leap into the US. Can I hold a spot at the legacies? If not, should I go to a US regional? DEC? ACMI? LCC? Or stay where I am now and continue to build time (and how much time would I need for the legacies?).

Assuming I will have 4000TT and 1000 CRJ PIC by the time I have all my documents in order.

I plan on living in LA so I’m willing to commute to my regional in Canada if that’s the best option career wise but if there’s a good opportunity in LA I would prefer that.

Thanks in advance all!
