Isn't Air Canada in the middle of a huge pilot shortage/hiring spree? I assume because of CRJ and DHC-8 time you are with Jazz? I was under the impression Jazz had a flow type deal to Air Canada now. If you are willing to commute from LA wouldn't it make more sense to commute for a Canadian Major airline than a US Regional?
Honestly don't know much about Canadian Aviation so I could be totally wrong.
My long term goal is to live and be based in LAX. Going to AC would be a pay cut and seniority loss without much being gained as far as career moves go. Unless the legacy carriers in the US would like to see me apply with SIC time on a 737/320 I wouldn’t think it would be worth my time to go to a different Canadian carrier.
