Now with the standard disclaimer out of the way, I have a question for those of you at Flex who recently were hired or have any useful insight. The new hire FAQ states:

There is no obligation, no contract in the fleet that you are hired into; we make a commitment to our employees from day one, we ask the same from our new hires.

I'm trying to understand this. I understand the no contract part (it's bold in the actual pdf), but the part about making a commitment to their employees and asking for one back is what I find confusing. Is it a nice way of saying we have no training contract and are working to make it a good enough place for you to want to stay? Unlike the USAF... coughcoughrabbittrail. I'm trying to figure it out without asking about it and having an interviewer raise an eyebrow for what is legitimately a question out of curiosity.

Thanks.
Essentially as you stated. No training contract. If you dont want to be there NN would rather you leave. It's their way of committing to you (bs) and by you staying (without being forced due to contractual restraint) you're essentially making a commitment to them. About 40% of the new hires coming in leave after the type and or when they start IOE. Back log is around 2 months. Hope this helps.
