Swap with the pot I’d buy, but not as much swap with other pilots. Most (all) of the pilot swaps I’ve done were schedule improvements to get rid of a trip when reserve coverage is too low to PD and you don’t quite want to burn an IVD or APD. It’s possible that there are some pilots that would dump their schedules via swap board onto other pilots, some of whom are now exceeding ALV+15, but I don’t backfill my schedule from open time if I swap away something. How much would closing that “loophole” really force the company to staff better vice just eliminate another avenue for pilots to exercise schedule flexibility by working with each other?
