really simple why most parts of our contract is 20 yrs behind the times.

We have all kinds of ways to make extra money. Some drop most of their trips and pick up premium. Some fly FAR max, work vacation, time out, and pick up as many sims as they want. Some fly many extra FCF segments. Some do many extra sims and extra check rides. It doesn’t affect you or your contract. They are taking advantage of the contract they have. You can’t because you commute and because you can’t everyone else is a “hoar”, perfect. I bet you are a joy to fly with.
