Oh I wholeheartedly agree with everything you’ve said, but my fear is I go get the moon hung by recruiters, get excited, take the job/quit YX, then show up on day 1 to find that the door has slammed shut in MIA, and I’m stuck commuting long term until I can get to MIA, then get stuck on reserve for eternity. We all know everything in this career is about timing, and new company at a new base is definitely a big timing gamble.
I guess the main reason why I'm "worried" is I see the base is going to open with 30 pilots. That's just not a lot of pilots overall. Presuming that's 15 pilots a side, I could easily miss the window if I don't move as quick as I can.
MIA will open with ~30 crews. It's already double that on the May bid. ask me how I know :-)
