As of the latest data it’s 1.13 years or about 9-10 months once you’re done with training. The outstation reserves are lucky to log 10 hours a month. The CLT reserves are used quite a bit so you’ll probably log similar time as a line holder at Piedmont. The difference is at PSA there’s hope for the reserves. Once you’re a line holder your QOL improves exponentially. At Piedmont your QOL will only marginally improve if at all once you’re a line holder. If I had to choose between 5 years of reserve at PSA or 5 years of line holding at Piedmont I would still choose PSA. Your QOL is going to suck either way. Might as well make more money.
Also, if you’re still considering Piedmont you must not care about QOL, so you could come to PSA and upgrade immediately if you have enough qualifying time. You’ll just be on perma-reserve as a junior captain. Reserve from home isn’t a bad gig though.
