Everyone's tolerance is different.
I two legged commuted to DAY for my first two and half months however I held a R1 line right out of training so only had LCR for my first 1/2 month, I then commuted one leg to CVG for 2 months for a R1 line - that sounds better on paper but I had to commute in day before and day after most of the time , still managing to have 11 days off in a row though with SAP; then I said screw it and bid for CLT regardless of whether I was SCR, LCR, BU line or R1 and I ended up with the very last R1 line my first month there. Even at that point though I had a one leg commute to CLT but as far as commutes go it was pretty easy.
Soooo... move to CLT, single leg commute on your own metal for a few months for a line... by the time it gets old bid back to CLT and maybe a month or two on reserve by time that gets old you'll be holding a line again. Just an example, there's more than one way to skin a cat. I'm sure you've already been hit up numerous times by people trying to score a referral but if you have any questions feel free to PM.
