The opportunity has ARISEN! Who in their right mind would’ve thought UA would pull the ol’ switch-a-roo and subsequently transfer the 25 XJT 175s back to OO to fulfill this agreement?
Don’t forget there are 19 options on the table. Also republic and sky west are having trouble staffing with additional flying. Mesa is having trouble staffing their airline too. Can you imagine Delta or American asking these airlines to fly more of their feed for higher dollars? I think this will blow over and is just a temporary Band-Aid to fix trans states problem. I don’t think Expressjet went through all that trouble for nothing. Let’s see how this all plays out when our new contract information becomes known to us.
