I am not diminishing people’s legitimate concerns and the key to not getting this bug is good hygiene and minimizing/avoiding exposure.

Numbers are changing constantly but here’s just some numbers to consider. Wuhan, the epicenter, has a population of ~11 million and had 80,703 cases of which 20,272 are active. So 0.7% of their population got it and 0.18% currently have it. Sadly 3098 have passed away from it. This is 0.03% of their population. It is 3.8% of their confirmed/reported cases. Seems like a low probability of getting it and not surviving. It seems like a higher mortality rate than some other infections if you are unfortunately exposed but those hit hardest are the elderly.

These numbers are from the internet so take it for what it’s worth...And this is not meant to be an argument for or against flying these trips. Choose your own adventure.
