The company wont listen because people continue to fly the 3 leg HKG loop pairing that fails the FERC parameters. The company wont listen because the union puts out numerous communications about the day room pairings and the lack of sleep opportunity yet our group continues to fly them (possibly fatigued) even when they have failed the fatigue testing software. They are disputed pairings yet they continue to get flown. How can the negotiations committee negotiate anything with our pilot groups lack of fortitude? Look in the mirror you may be part of the problem.
I have never flown a disputed pairing. I’m not HKG based, so not sure how I‘d fly the HKG loop pairing.
You’re the one that thinks we’re scared. I’m not, I’d opt out today..

I just learned this the hard way. I called in sick and didn’t update my first fly status and was assigned a 3 day trip. I had enough leveling that I wouldn’t have been tagged for a trip had I not been first fly. Live and learn I guess, but seems easy enough to prompt a question when marking yourself sick for first fly status.

We should, but history proves that many see no leverage. And, everyone should have been saving 3-4 months of pay up for the coming games. But I would guess that I am in the minority.

Dude step up if you see a safety or fatigue issue. This is what many of our elders are talking about when they say FedEx is made up by a bunch of “sub contractors” and “mission oriented” pilots. You want something the company wont give you and you then waffle because its time to step up when your union asks you to. I see the fear in you. Do you think your excuses and behavior will reap rewards in contract 2021? STOP MAKING EXCUSES AND BE A SAFE PILOT.
You seem to have a grasp on many issues, and are engaged. But holy fock, dont be such a condescending SOB. The people you disrespect with your comments have been around the fence before. Don't act like someones grandpa. Just some brotherly advice.
