EVERY time my flight out of JFK would be delayed and the flight would cancel out of Boston and would have to ferry it elsewhere. This is true, and I think you might be right. On just one day when we had a bunch of storms come through they tried deadheading me to BOS on 4 different flights all of which canceled and by the end of it I was useless to them because I would have timed out. But in my case the BGR flights would have been canceled too.
