SkyWest to buy Comair?

Also Jerry doesn't want a bunch of 50 seaters, and he sure doesn't want that particular work group...ASA gave him enough fits.
However, I would not rule out DAL actually PAYING skywest to "adopt" CA.

It's not about aircraft. It's about routes and contracts. If delta has a XX yr long contract with commair and commair is sold then SKW gets to keep flying on that deal. The certificates and the legalities that come with them are what's worth the money. The routes, the flight contracts, ground contracts, gates, etc. Look at AA and TWA. I was in ATL just the other day and there were several TWA 757s on the Delta ramp going to the Delta paintshop because AA didn't want the planes.
