Bombardier can't seem to determine how big their planes actually are. It varies by a few inches in every publication, but those are roughly 705/900 dimensions, depending on what book you look at.
I love how MSNBC noted in their article that "one air traffic controller was directing both airplanes" as if that's abnormal or unsafe. The only other safety-related comment they made was "The FAA sent investigators to the airport to review air traffic control tapes". I think they kind of missed the point of the story.
