If NWA were to skipped out of MEM it would be Southwest's dream come true. Look at why FEDEX is based out of Memphis. It is within 500 miles of 80% of the US population! True, the terminal needs a complete tear down but the airport as a whole is too vital for long term growth. ATL & MSP is at it's max. DTW they revamped and now it's a cash cow for NWA. MEM has little competition, and like real estate, it's all about LOCATION, LOCATION!!!!
