Yes I agree, but since most slap the AP on at 500 feet I would be curious to see how effective their scan would be if they needed to shoot an app to mins after months of not hand flying in clear and blue, no less in the clouds.
Good idea for everyone to click off the AP in actual once in while to keep those skills sharp. We had an MEL AP/FD for a few days and had to shoot all apps to mins because of cigs. Fun times!!

These are Jets - and they're
made to be flown on automation! We can't hand-fly these things...much less without the FD! Who do you think we are? Pilots?! And what do you think these are? Airplanes?
