yeah i would think that mem is here to stay. USA today just said that ATL is the busiest airport in the world for the 3rd year in a row. it is maxed out. and i don't think there is any way that delta and nwa would only have 1 base in the south, and have that base nearly on the east coast. mem is in a good position to keep growing. i would be more worried if i were at comair and based in cvg.. just a little to close to dtw. but like you guys said, you never know nowadays. what would suck is if they closed the base and then 4 months later after everyone has moved out they decide that they need it back.. (like that has never happened, oh wait it did, we lost our msp base and then within a year after everyone had moved they re-opened it)..
