How about a black lanyard that just say's nothing...like a funeral mark.

There has never been over 20% unemployment in this country since 1941.
If we get to that rate as some are forecasting it won't matter what color lanyard we are wearing.

Hell we will be burning our hats to stay warm in the winter.
