Hey has anyone done the recurrent MV/LOE recently? I heard its changed as of the new year.
I haven't been flying much and was just trying to get a heads-up on what to expect. Any info would be appreciated, thanks.
MV - more of the same... W/S encounters, CAT I/ CAT II approaches (normal and hand-flown single-engine), V1 cuts, missed approaches, lo-vis taxi and T/O, etc.
LOE - the cities are new but you can expect the failures to be the same ones we keep seeing in the CRJ fleet. Think of the flappy things on the back of the wing that are always getting stuck in the wrong place and you're halfway there. And then there's always the list of "surprises" that the sim guys can pick from. Don't worry, they're all in the QRH. If you know
where to look...
Same as always, know your procedures, limitations, and emergency items, and fly the plane the way the book says to fly the plane. Then "Good job, nothing to debrief, see you in another 9 months."
