Just my $.02 from an FNG with the company, but I really haven't ran into many doomsday prophets thinking the world is ending, we're all getting furloughed, and our pets heads are falling off. Maybe it's the SWA propaganda, maybe it's the "culture" that's shoved in our faces 24/7, or maybe it's the company's track record, but I would say as a group, most of us are pretty calm. I mean, I'm at like 97% seniority company-wide and I haven't worried for 1 second about losing my job. Maybe I'm naive, but I feel like this company is in a better position than any of the other majors and if anyone is going to pull itself out of this, it's us.
I'm an outsider to all this, but I do have quite a few friends at SWA. Unfortunately, I think you might be being a bit naïve indeed. I think if you see real drastic cuts to the TFP guarantee, you're unfortunately going to see a lot of the "just furlough the bottom" people who are keeping their mouth's shut now make a much more vocal appearance.
