I'm an outsider to all this, but I do have quite a few friends at SWA. Unfortunately, I think you might be being a bit naïve indeed. I think if you see real drastic cuts to the TFP guarantee, you're unfortunately going to see a lot of the "just furlough the bottom" people who are keeping their mouth's shut now make a much more vocal appearance. I hope I'm wrong. Good luck to you and your brothers there at SWA.
Domestic only airlines with single fleets are much better prepared to weather this than the multi-fleet legacies who rely on int’l money to survive.
With our financials....I’m more comfortable than I’d be at my seniority at Delta, Murican or United.

If we do....it’ll be after every other airline cuts up to half their seniority list and tosses them on their butts.

And basically paying for Max sim training. Plus going to reimburse for lost income once the planes are all back. Hopefully enough to keep us in the black for the year.

You may have noticed that Boeing is in a bit of financial stress due to the virus panic. Their money was probably a sure thing before March. Less so now.

I’m sure Gary would be willing to help in exchange for deep discounts on future hulls.

Part of the purchase agreement stated that if add’l training were required BA would pay for the training and SWA would get a $1m/hull discount.
SWA doesn’t owe BA ****.
