I ran into a captain that works in recruitment a while back and he informed me that they were in fact sticking to the 600TT. I guess too many people in training were having trouble getting off IOE (80hrs or so needed), so they try to be pretty firm on that number. With that said, if it's convenient for you, I would still go to the job fair(s), as they are a great way for you to get to know people at different airlines and vice versa.
