Lots of good arguments to 'get everyone back to work'.... As a counter point there are lots of good arguments for the 'save lives' crowd.

All of them however are BASELESS without numbers.

I challenge any of you to put a dollar figure on each death. Only then can we move on into an actual debate.

eg. I am comfortable with 5000 deaths per 1% GDP drop. (Just numbers.... Havent put any thought into it)

The EPA for example placea the cost of life at about $9m. But that is for one solitary life, and importantly the first life. So its $9.5m for one life. Two lives all the way out to n lives has a differnet figure.

And no this is not amoral and heartless, we do it daily as individuals and as a society. We continually weigh up harm vs economic benefit but to a lesser extent. Some individuals have experienced this first hand when confronted with the cost of life saving surgery for grandma.

Until you (and govt) do this all arguments are in an absolute sence meaningless.
