Dear Santa,
This year I have been really good, please bring me a real live pony for Christmas! I believe, I believe, I believe.

I will check back late July after the letters go out. You can be sure someone will be blamed for them. If we are lucky we will only lose 350-500 million this year... When airlines lose money, bad not good things happen!

Two things are affecting the union at the negotiating table, the virus and the economy. Nothing else!
Not according to LEC and MEC reps I’ve spoken with. I’ve talked to both. Prior to the CVirus in negotiations management would tell the MEC that THEY, union leadership, was the problem, that their messaging was causing discord among the rank and file, and that they, not management were out of touch with the desires and morale of the pilot group. Post CVirus, the NC has absolutely had management slide comments like those highlighted in the “water cooler”, Alyeska Board and APC slid across the desk as supposed evidence that our union leaders and negotiators are out of touch.

I recognize the economy and CVIRUS are the drivers of the will of the company holistically, but unilateral “negotiating in public” does undermine the leadership’s basic and damn near always and forever strategy of “My MEC speaks for me and I tell them what to say.”
