i think firefighters are still pretty highly regarded. I don’t think pilots ever took that jump after sully. Sully was regarded as a hero by the public, not all pilots.

there were plenty of pilots however, who stuck their chests out because of sully’s Action. Assuming that the outcome would have been the same for them too.
