Everyone at my airline was furloughed. So my A&P is irrelevant to my furlough. There wasn’t a high enough rung on the seniority ladder to save me. Maybe I would have gotten to a major but who knows. If by “hole” you mean debt, I went to community college and got an AS for about 4K that included my A&P, some bachelor programs include it as well. A bachelors degree that includes learning a trade Can be very valuable in times like this.
