I went to the last RTAG convention in Ft. Rucker. I was sent by my Guard unit to help run a booth and talk to Active Duty pilots getting out and pursuing a career in the 121 world.
I was extremely surprised to find out 80% of people I spoke with were not familiar about the Guard and how we(pilots) can use the National Guard to make extra money and better our QOL in the airlines. Lots of options these days with most Guard units still looking for pilots.

I am curious if many on here got out of active duty to chase the airline life and joined a national guard unit? With the current state of the airlines, having the guard life to fall back on would be a nice financial safety net.

I am not a recruiter but do know my unit in SC is looking to fill several slots. Even full time positions.
