The bankruptcy judge might not agree. Look at 2002-Tilton convinced the bankruptcy court he needed scope relief and got it. Then you had 9-10 regionals flying for United and whole mainline fleets parked.

Of course ALPA will file a brief/lawsuit in protest but bankruptcy court isn't about employee QOL, it's about creditors getting paid. If the company can prove that relaxing scope and outsourcing more flying to RJs will save cash to pay creditors, they will get it. Keep in mind the courts are now staffed with conservative business-friendly judges.

And all of this applies to RAH, SKW, XJT as well...
