With an aviation background it may help you in this field and something to do until the aviation industry improves. You are also under state control in the Guard so it is a little easier to turn down things. For any former military crewmember you can still receive flight pay in this position and not as difficult to meet minimum qualification requirements like you are required to as a pilot or crewmember.
