Our union although imperfect, is trying harder then it ever has before. We have in my mind the best guy in our industry at the top, for this circumstance. He is trying to prevent and mitigate furloughs. I mean that, the train is barreling down the tracks, his is standing on there, he will not move, hey may not stop it but he is 100% committed to trying.
There are other angles to work, 60hr Max mo. maybe.... something like that would have to be voted on. I just don’t think it has a chance in passing ratification, maybe I am wrong.
This one isn’t the company’s fault, it’s definitely not the unions fault, there are good people on both sides, sometimes your dealt a really bad hand. This is the worst one I have ever seen.
