Fact : 70% starts but never finishes flight training.
Even from the ones that finish many fall by the wayside.
Out of all the students I’ve instructed a handful ( that I know off) made it to the airlines.
Even if I triple this number to account for the ones that didn’t bother to let me know where they ended up it’s only 15-20% of the ones that finished their Commercial training.
I got my ATP when I was still instructing.
Im guessing if you go deep down the FAA statistics you’ll find ATP’s with an adress a outside of the US.
I would use a different definition of “made it”.
PIC of an aircraft that requires a type rating is without a doubt a milestone of having “made it”.
Upgrade not PIC as sole manipulator....lol
