I sent my stuff in earlier this week. I saw refurbished iPads same model as mine for $79 so no big deal.
Today is my last day with NJA. As an inactive pilot I used to be able to post on the NJASAP board everywhere but the crew room forum. Since the new message board went live in early February I can't post anywhere, can't even send PM's. It's just read only which sucks. I sent in a ticket and it's on the list they said. Won't matter now. I have good info on this Med LOA process I've gone thru that I could have shared but again not a huge deal since few are affected by it. And the Union Benefits Committee members know of me since I have the NJASAP Harvey Watt Plan and have been in touch with them.
I left my $2000 gaming laptop in the forward cabin on a company jet once. Didn't realize it until I had boarded my airline home. Called the company and got a message to the next crew who took it into the FBO for me. Had to pay $$$ for shipping but it was nice of the FBO to handle the return for me. After that incident I decided the laptop could take it's chances in my backpack which stayed in the cargo bin. 2nd Worst thing I lost was my Bose QC-15/U-Fly Mic combo. Left it in the case next to my seat on an airline. Reported it but never saw it again. Left my e-reader once but luckily I had my info on a label stuck to the back and while heading to my connecting flight I heard my name being paged and quickly realized what it was.

Long story short, I got it back and returned the one they gave me.
So, onto what your saying. When I was getting my new one from IT. They said, 9 times out of 10. It will be on ebay in a week or so. Cuz someone finds it and realizes its useless because of the lock down status. So they sell it on ebay. IT also said they get phone calls from the folks that bought it off ebay and they asked to unlock it. Of course, our IT department advises them they are in possession of stolen property and they are to send it back. So theres that.
