So, total number of Bus/737 CAs system wide drops to 2754 from 3224. Total number of Bus/737 FOs system wide goes from 2876 up to 5061. 2307 more NB FOs than CAs after this bid alone, cross your fingers that the next displacement is nowhere near as big. I'm going to slug down some liquid courage and look for my resume while I wait for it to come out.
TheSoCalGuy had a nice post the other day comparing PCs WB targets vs. tentative head counts. Would love to see an update on that with final numbers from this bid, as it will give an idea of how many more NB FOs might result from the next one.
Furlough estimate
Generally, I don’t they’ve got too much to clean up. They need to level out the 787 from the overstaffed to understaffed domiciles and clear the guys who were stalling for time out of their intermediate bid of 756 FO seats, for example, to their final NB seat. Maybe a few hundred more to push into the NB FO pool....and then of course that’s the group upon which the guillotine will fall.
