Losing a job in this economy is a completely different story. I’d vote yes on any help we could give a furloughed fellow pilot.
Not only this, but back then unemployment wasn't blowing by 20% on its way to historic levels. If I remain on the payroll I'd gladly give up 2% to help those involuntarily furloughed for 6-12 months. My gut tells me it is the right thing to do, and I believe it would pay dividends showing solidarity and controlling the narrative with the company and other labor groups. It would also go a long way toward litigating leverage in the event we wind up in court.
