it's actually hand done. i won't say her name on here, but there's a girl in charge of putting the classes together, and she has to go through everyone's bids manually, makes sure they haven't turned down a class in the last 6 months, check their hours (if she has any current information from them...if not, she checks the form we filled out as new hires, checks the computer for skywest flight time, and adds them together). then she has to get the list approved (used to be brad holt's job to approve them). then she has to email and/or call everyone to find out who wants the class date. it's a long process. she told me it's made all the more long and frustrating because there are so many people with bids in that either a) don't want a class or b) don't even have close to the hours necessary. people shouldn't put bids in unless they have the hours and want a class, but apparently lots and lots of people do just that. and that's not even counting the people who put the little dates on there to take a class after a certain date. obviously, she just skips those.

Thanks for that...it makes a lot more sense now. It's actually
non-sensical for a company this large to do it by hand, but at least I can understand why it does take so long.
