It basically sounds fair. One year seat lock for changing equipment. Two year seat lock if you downgrade (CA to FO). If you are a new hire, you can upgrade whenever your seniority and times allow it (even inside your one year seat lock).
There is only thing that sounds a little fishy to me. Say Bro upgrade at the base you want is 1.5 years. So you start as EMB FO, upgrade to CRJ FO at 1 year, but then you can't upgrade to EMB CAPT when your seniority and times allow it... you have to wait until year 2.
It seems like anytime you have the seniority and times to go from FO to CAPT, that should be allowed (even with a 1 year seat lock). SAPA, any comment?
Basically if the company spends the money to train you, they want one year of work out of you. If you're in the EMB and want to upgrade in it, then stay there. This is unrealistic anyway...nobody would subject themself to an extra training event just to fly the jet for 6 months. You'd be all confused when you went back to the Bro.
