We have a revenue problem. Right now our product is not wanted. We need to find a product that is and compete. Quitting until the problem might be solved for us (vaccine) is a terrible idea. It might not get solved. We need to learn how to survive in the current environment. If that means isolating each passenger, testing before flight, flying cargo only we need to figure it out. The first people who need to be furloughed now is upper MGT. why do we need them and their bloated salaries if the plan is to do nothing?
There isn't any product that involves flying airplanes that will raise enough revenue to replace what has evaporated.
Can you sew masks? Those are in demand.
Edit: One thing we can do is cancel all contracts for outsourced flying and take it all back in house.
