I don’t think that’s the case. The WARN notice is a requirement of the “potential” for upcoming furloughs. The actual furlough notification is per the UPA. 30 days or 90 days depending on when you were hired.

I think I sent it, but then it asks for a twitter thing at the end. I don’t have Twitter... did I still email the reps?

Sending the letters are good enough, Twitter is an additional option. And yes your email went to your congressman.

WARN Act is to notify of potential furlough. Unless you were hired before that certain date, the company has between 30-120 days to officially inform you of your furlough.
