We have a revenue problem. Right now our product is not wanted. We need to find a product that is and compete. Quitting until the problem might be solved for us (vaccine) is a terrible idea. It might not get solved. We need to learn how to survive in the current environment. If that means isolating each passenger, testing before flight, flying cargo only we need to figure it out. The first people who need to be furloughed now is upper MGT. why do we need them and their bloated salaries if the plan is to do nothing?
The legacies problem is the virus. So we need a treatment or vaccine either one that puts this virus on its heals. We also need it so that we can start to regain access to other countries. That is what is killing us all right now. It will get solved somehow no pandemic has ever raged on forever or we wouldn’t be here.
