I would take it. I wrote to Insler/Whiteford and asked how allowing the EO by age and not seniority was not age discrimination. He didn’t even bother to answer me and instead had a lackey ALPA lawyer answer me. I’m 53 with 25 years of service and would like to leave with a safety net for a few years, say 3 years or age 65, whichever comes first, to pursue other things, but I can’t because I’m too young. I’m sure others would do the same. Their excuses were unsatisfying. It was “the best they could do”.
