Every major population center will see a wave. You can delay it, string it out, let it roll through, it doesn't matter. It will happen. Sweden let it roll through and now they're basically done with the virus. India, Australia, Hong Kong, Vietnam held it off and now it's happening. Now that WARN letters are going out and airline pilots are facing the reality of life without the government taking care of your paycheck, we will most likely see more and more pilots ease off their pro-lockdown and fear-based Covid positions.
Sweden has like 10 million smart healthy people that care about each other. Can’t compare that with the US. Even if the numbers are going down they did terrible per million, almost same as Italy. There’s 0 evidence that numbers are going down because of herd immunity, rates of antibodies are around 10%. Also the Swedish economy has done as bad if not worse than its neighbors with way more deaths. The reason for the numbers coming down is because going back to the smart considerate people thing, Swedes were self isolating from each other and not going out at all. Stores and streets have been empty for months. Not even close to how Americans have handled it here, you can thank them for the warn letters.
