Hi guys/gals.
I applied on 7/10 through the direct-hire program (Air Carrier Operations Safety Inspector) and recently received an e-mail asking me for a breakdown of my total flight time as well as my desired locations.
Does anybody have insight as to what this means, if anything, about my application and the hiring process, and the average time-frame from application to interview?
I have browsed past posts and see that there is apparently a hiring freeze. I wonder if they are possibly hiring into a pool to draw from once FY2021 begins.

I would add that I’m surprised they are moving forward with those first applying. They say the Sequestration/ reevaluating of the needs of the agency determine what follows. That said it gives me the sense that they are motivated to recruits qualified Personnel. I was personally told that they were drowning in work....so hopefully the NEED survives the sequestration and budget cuts....GL all..
