Why make it easier for them? Trust me, there are plenty of folks world-wide who would love to bring harm to a bunch of Americans staying at a foreign hotel.
Wow. You’re so cool and cloak and daggery. Do you really think “the enemy” needs an Internet forum to plot his dastardly deeds? Or maybe he could simply stand outside every single airport we fly in and out of multiple times every day and follow the cabs we get into to the hotels we stay at every single day? You do realize we wear uniforms when we fly? And have Fedex IDs that hang from lanyards with all kinds of identifying info on them. And half our guys have luggage with Fedex identification on them? And then on our layovers, you realize there is a reason you can pick out a fellow crew member from 100 yards away. Especially when they’re wearing one of our nice company jackets.
Now...I’m not an Australian terrorist. But if I were, and I was really serious about plotting mayhem against Fedex pilots, I’d probably start with looking for those giant Fedex logos on those giant airplanes that park right next to that busy road by the busiest airport in Australia. Then I would watch those pilots get into the same limos at the same times every single day and I’d track them to the same hotel they’ve been going to for years. It would take less then a day. We aren’t the Mossad. And nothing we do is secret. I hope your self protection plans don’t depend on bad guys being too stupid to track you in their own country.
You remind me of the squadron dude/dudette who thinks that wearing a reflective belt and carrying a flashlight in a combat zone will keep everyone from getting hurt while deployed. We all knew them. I guess now we’d call them Karen’s.
