My Guangzhou “happy hour” meal has me a bit grouchy. Granted, it’s better than what we were getting in Shanghai. But if there are any terrorists who would like to raid the Guangzhou Crowne Plaza, I’d ask that they’d bring some chick fil a. Or at least some Tabasco. And maybe a bottle of Jack with a straw. The whole hotel room isolation thing is getting old.

I get that people don't like Facebook but there is no excuse to not be a part of Jetflyers. Yes, most of the time it's the same dozen guys barking at each other, but when negotiations start, the nuggets of info that come from there will be invaluable. You can make a FB acct and do nothing but join JF, I'm not sure what the pushback is. That's what I've done, in fact, I think I used one of my burner emails to do it.
Get a burner email, join FB, find another Fedex dude to suggest you as a member, sift through the info and become enlightened!

UPDATE: The layovers in OAK, LAX,RNO,EWR,MIA,JFK,ATL, PDX, MSP, etc.,..........all suck because of riots, Kung Flu, and other assorted nonsense........it's harsher overseas, I agree, but let's face it, the days of the Manhattan Club and Four Floors of W----s is long gone for now. Uber Eats and hotel food, and chicken salad/sandwich on domestic catering is what it all is. And if one more person tells me "we're all in this together".........
There's also a thread on here for people thinking about commiting suicide as their careers are imploding at the pax carriers. I for one am incredibly grateful to have an amazing job, that has some less than fun overnights for a little while.
Get a couple of books, learn a new language, etc. In the scheme of things, what most of us at this company are going through right now is very trivial to most people in the world right now.

JF is a cesspool of the same 15-20 guys crying a river on everything. 6 of them are part of the notorious HKG dozen. Then you have the recently retired constant posters who have no life so they troll it every day. Its honestly the most laughable atrocity this pilot group partakes in. If I was management this would make me laugh and lick my choops for negotiations. I will get my info from official sources not blowhards. I enjoy reading it so I can laugh at these specific individuals as I walk by them in the AOC. As someone posted above it will most definitely get people fired and our pilot group sued during negotiations. Mark my word.

I agree, this is peanuts compared to what my grandparents have been through. Same group that considers me a snowflake for calling them out on the classless use of the term “Kung Flu” can’t handle an inconvenience of social responsibility until we get a vaccine deployed. We are all Americans, we all want the best for each other and our country. Lets quit treating each other like the enemy. I am very grateful to have this job, and it’s inconveniences are one heck of a good problem to have right now.
