ALPA can ask other airlines to strongly consider hiring pilots from a failed airline, and many carriers have hired those people in the past, but ALPA doesn’t have the ability to make any demands. Breeze isn’t a union carrier. Since it is a start up they can hire who they want and dictate the terms of employment. After they get going the pilots can vote in a union and get started negotiating their first contract, but until then ALPA has no say in anything that Breeze does.
