Probably not particularly easy, off the street hires always had to be pretty competitive just because they don't hire that many.

With the economy going and airlines hiring it was somewhat easy to get a gig if you had ten years AD experience in the same airframe. But even that is probably going to get tight if it hasn't already... usually when the economy tanks there has a been a war to drive demand for guard/reserve capacity, but that's not the case with covid (not yet anyway).
