Full disclosure - ClarityAloft guy here. One thing I would ding most all Bose headsets models over is encouraging the "Whispering Captain/Co-Pilot" phenom. Apparently, their side-tone is so much better than what comes out over the ICS, that they don't feel much need to speak in anything above hushed tones....and a 737 cockpit is no place for hushed tones, even with a hot-mic. Or maybe I'm just slowly going deaf....

Twelve years in the 737, seven more to go. Nobody whispers on the 737 flight deck.
18 months ago I bought the A20 to replace the 850. I am very pleased with this solution. It is a bit bulky, but my future hearing is worth that cost.
