Reserve is a little more stable on it though (no scheduled RRs, stable trips, etc). I am completely in love with the 900 though. It is an absulute joy to fly. I think you may have called it shiny jet syndrome, but there's more to it than just that.

Moral of the story is:
If you're lower seniority than me: I highly recommend coming up to the 700/900. Great airplanes, good routes, stable reserve

If you're higher seniority than me: Terrible airplane, long flights, horribly long reserve, old crusty captains.......

You get my drift

quality of life is so much better on the 70. People at my seniority aren't close to holding a line on the 50 as an FO. I'm right at the spot where one month i have a line and one month I dont. But even if I don't, I might have one RR. Totally worth it.
